​Connecting Communities North and South will bring practitioners, service planners, academics and beneficiaries together to explore the many positives and residual challenges surrounding the advance of social prescribing throughout the island. ​

​

Join us as we demonstrate progress and lay the foundations for the future!​

Conference Purpose:​

We are motivated to come together to share and to build strategies for action framed by our mutual interests to impact policy and practice.​

​

​Conference Aim:

The overarching aim of this conference is to nurture the growth, quality, and positive impact of social prescribing across the island. This event will bring together key stakeholders to share learning, celebrate progress, and identify opportunities for future development.


Conference Objectives:

  • Provide an overview of the current social prescribing landscape and its continued evolution

  • Celebrate and showcase impactful success stories arising from social prescribing practice

  • Host a forum to discuss current challenges and identify practical solutions to support the continued advancement and evaluation methods of social prescribing, including cost-effectiveness and social return on investment, and service impact evaluation methods and tools.  

  • Explore emerging and specialist areas of practice, including with a view to scalability and broader application

  • Examine issues of equity and inclusion within social prescribing, with particular attention to populations who are under-referred or under-represented, including marginalised and hard-to-reach groups 

  • Share some of the latest insights from research, evaluation, and evidence-based practice including cost-effectiveness and social return on investment.

  • Facilitate discussion on the current context and future opportunities for social prescribing with and for children and young people in Ireland.​
