Call for Abstracts

Connecting Communities, North and South: Building Momentum for Social Prescribing
​​
​​​​Date: Thursday & Friday, 11–12 June 2026​​​​​
Venue: Fairways Hotel, Dublin Road, Haggardstown, Dundalk, Co. Louth, A91 E6KC​​​​​
​The overarching aim of this conference is to nurture the growth, quality, and positive impact of social prescribing. This event will bring together key stakeholders to share learning, celebrate progress, and identify opportunities for future development.
The All-Ireland Social Prescribing Network (AISPN) invites submissions from social prescribing link workers, researchers, academics, people with lived experience, community organisations, healthcare professional, policymakers, and advocates on the following themes:

Equity and Inclusion of Social Prescribing: Addressing social and structural determinants of health through social prescribing.

Practice Innovation & Service Delivery: real-world implementation and learning from practice

Social Prescribing for Children and Young People.

Models, Systems & Policy: how social prescribing is embedded in health and social care systems.

Evaluation and Building evidence for Social Prescribing: different methods of evaluating Social Prescribing, novel approaches to evaluation, models and approaches for evaluating cost effectiveness including Social Return on Investment.

Population-Specific Approaches to Social Prescribing: tailoring social prescribing organisation and delivery to meet diverse needs of service users.

This conference is a space to share learning, practical experiences, and insights that support inclusive social prescribing and strengthen community engagement. Contributions that highlight lived experience, co-production, and community-led responses are particularly welcome.

The word count for abstract submissions is 250 words.
All submissions must include:

Conclusions and Implications for social prescribing practice and /or research.
Please indicate on your submission to which theme (1-6) the abstract relates and if you have a preference for a poster or oral presentation.
